Visual nightlife communication concept
The bar lounge “barcode” in the city of Stuttgart was the first project I did for a client, even before I started to study communication design, and it lasted over twelve years. During this time I did the whole visual communication and consulting regarding production of communication material and the visual appearance of the club itself. Everything started with a logo, stationery design, beverage list design and flyer for the opening event. After a successful opening, it was time to go on with a monthly website and flyer concept. Except the first year, the flyer kept its iconic minimal design concept over a period of eleven years. Including flyers and print material for special events there had been produced over 350 print publications. Beside classic flyers there had always been special ones with a special finish or individual paper. Individual beverage lists that have been redesigned once a year attracted made bar a talk of the town regarding a consistent corporate branding with heart. It was my first commercial project and it was my first love with branding!

Packaging design for a local winery
A redesign from a traditional swabian wine label to a modern state of the art packaging design. The eagle as a family crest was the basis of all art direction and served as the future figurative trademark that was shown on all communication material as well as on the packaging design of the wine bottles.
An important issue in the development of the packaging design was that the bottles had to have a common visual language and needed to be have a strong visual presence when they are presented on the point of sale. Beside the design of the wine bottles, there had also been a redesign of the liquor collection that also is visually connected to the classic wine collection. Last but not least a digital website complemented the visual appearance, where information on the wineyard and the product portfolio could be experienced in an appealing way.
